This is the inner, posterior part of the organ of sight, where essential structures for vision are located, such as the <b>vitreous<\/b>, the <b>retina<\/b>\u2014which generates visual impulses\u2014and the <b>optic nerve head<\/b>\u2014which transports visual impulses to the brain.
